Will Kronick

Deputy Director

Will is the son of Sandra and Bob Kronick and the adopted son of Nancy Shx’ei Douglas, T’aaḵu Kwáan Yanyeidi and her partner Ed Young. Will grew up in East Tennessee, but has lived on Lingít Aaní since 2014. Will earned his Bachelor’s in History from Yale University, with a focus on social services and housing policy. After graduating from college, Will interned for the Sitka Tribe of Alaska’s Wooch.een Yei Jigaxtoonei Pre-School and Sitka Native Education Program. For nine years, Will worked for the Central Council of Tlingit and Haidia Indian Tribes Tribal Family and Youth Services Department in a variety of roles, supporting Elders, families working to reunite with their children in foster care and youth. While working, he obtained his Master’s degree in rural development from the University of Alaska Fairbanks. Will is excited to join the Spruce Root Team as Deputy Director to support an economy that works for all.
